Mozart managed to  write the three divertimenti, 136-138  when he lived at Salzburg when he was still only sixteen having already completed a number of operas (the three pieces performed by the XPO all have a strong operatic flavour)     

Despite being composed during the period that Beethoven was losing his hearing (around 1802), the 2nd symphony still retains a warm, happy  feel, perhaps as response to his desperate plight.  The work was premiered in Vienna in 1803,
