Run for Their Fun 为了他们的起步而奔跑

In 2007, Huisman China became involved in helping a small school for mentally disabled children in Longhai. Through their generous donations over the years, the Longhai Special Education School (龙海市特殊教育学校) has been able to begin building a dormitory for the school that can hold up to 100 students and teachers. Before this project began, many children with special needs in the area could simply not attend the school as it was too far away, but now, thanks to Huisman China’s commitment to social responsibility, these special kids are getting the education and care they deserve.

2007年，龙海市特殊教育学校开始得到豪氏威马中国公司的资助。这是一所为智障儿童提供特殊教育的学校。在过去几年由于豪氏威马公司源源不断的资助，龙海市特殊教育学校的师生们筹措到了一批资金，开始建立一幢能容纳100多名学生和老师的宿舍楼。而在此之前，由于家到学校的路途遥远，区域内很多有特殊需要的孩子们因为行动不便，无法参加学校的课程。感谢豪氏威马公司的社会责任感，是他们的帮助，给予了这些孩子们他们应该得到的教育和关注。

Although the dormitory is currently under construction and is to be completed soon, the school grounds still lack anywhere for the children to play before or after class. In order to solve this problem, Ewa Walters, employee of Huisman China, has pledged to run the Xiamen International Marathon on January 2nd, 2011 in order to raise money for the construction of a proper playground at the school. “I, like everyone else at Huisman and the school, just want the best for these kids”, Ewa told Xiamen Wave. “Wouldn’t it be great to give them a place to relax, get some exercise and just be kids after class each day?”

虽然学校的宿舍楼已接近完工，但学校内仍缺乏让学生们课余时间娱乐的场所。为了解决这个问题，豪氏威马公司的Ewa Walters决定参加2011年1月2日的厦门国际马拉松，为学校的娱乐场所筹款。“我和我们公司的其他人以及特殊学校的所有教职员工们一样，只希望能为孩子们多做一些事。”Ewa告诉《厦门味》，“能让这些孩子们每天在课余时间有个地方玩耍，做做运动，放松放松身体，是多么好的一件事啊！”

To make this dream of a playground come true, she needs our help. Ewa will do the intensive training required to successfully run the marathon, all we need to do is pledge money to be collected upon her finishing the marathon. So, what are you waiting for?
