Wyndham Xiamen Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Wyndham Xiamen held a festive Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony with world-famous pianist Lang Lang on the night of 7 December 2010 to welcome the Christmas holiday season. The event, open to the public, was the second Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony held at the Wyndham Xiamen since the hotel opened in 2009.

The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony began at 18:30 with songs performed by a children’s choir. At 19:00, Wyndham Xiamen General Manager Mr. Dominique Galperti and world famous pianist Lang Lang, known as the “Piano Prince,” lit the Christmas tree together to commemorate the start of the Christmas season. Gourmet refreshments and snacks were available throughout the event.

Wyndham Xiamen is a proud sponsor of Lang Lang’s December 8th performance at the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center, “Lang Lang 2010 Xiamen Piano Concert,” and has been hosting the renowned pianist during his time in Xiamen.

In further celebration of the Christmas holiday, Wyndham Xiamen will again hold a Christmas Eve dinner and party for guests after last year’s successful Chaplin-themed Christmas Eve party. This year’s event will feature an exciting performance.

The Wyndham Xiamen exudes a festive Christmas atmosphere. The hotel will be decorated with lights and colourful Christmas ornaments, indicating the coming of the Yule festival and the idea of “harmony between human and nature.” A Christmas tree designed with feathers and leopard décor will be situated in the hotel lobby beneath a crystal chandelier hung from the 7-meter-tall ceiling.
