On August 19th, Baileys China held their annual gala at Me & You 2. Every year Bailey’s China gathers at Me & You 2 for their annual team-building exercise. Baileys Irish Cream is an Irish whiskey and cream based liqueur. Baileys Irish Cream was created by Gilbeys of Ireland as it searched for something to introduce to the international market.

Straits Cup – August 14th, 2010

Over 400 people gathered at the People’s Stadium to witness the first ever Straits Cup. At around 3:45 pm, Tainan Foresight won the coin toss and the game began with a minute of silence for recently departed friend and member of Xiamen Typhoons RFC, Erik Hartung. Early in the game it appeared as if Tainan Foresight might win as they took an early lead, however Xiamen played intensely and kept the pressure on for the win.

2nd Guanyin Shan Beach Music Festival

The 2nd Annual Guanyin Shan Beach Music Festival, hosted by the Xiamen Siming District Government and sponsored by Sedrin ICool, was held from Friday August 6th to August 8th 2010. The headliner, Chinese pop idol Hankyun (formerly of the popular Asian boy band Super Junior), put on an excellent show series of great activities were sponsored by Sedrin I Cool.

Haiwan Park (Gulf Park)

Haiwan Park, the largest urban park in Xiamen, is located within walking distance of the Marco Polo and Pan Pacific Hotels and is about a 5 minute taxi ride from the Millennium Harbourview and Wyndham Hotels.
